Overview - CUET PG Agriculture

Prior to the CUET exam, all central, state, and private universities held separate entrance exams. As a result, students had to take multiple entrance exams, which took a large amount of time and money. The government has introduced a new examination called CUET based on the concept of "one nation, one exam" by revamping the method of these previous entrance examinations. CUET is an all-India exam. By giving only one exam, students can get admission to any one of the central, state, or private universities based on their scorecard.

In 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) offered a single all-India exam called the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for students seeking admission to several central colleges in India. A total of 43 central universities, as well as many state and private universities, participated in the CUET PG Agriculture exam in 2022.

CUET 2022 was conducted in two shifts. The first shift is in the morning, and the second shift is in the afternoon. Those who want to pursue a Master's degree in agriculture at Central University, such as BHU, BBU, or others, must appear for the CUET PG Agriculture exam.

CUET PG Syllabus Agriculture

There are two codes for CUET-PG Agriculture. These two codes are PGQP 78 and PGQP 33. The PGQP-78 code is mainly for BHU (Banaras Hindu University). and PGQP 33 for other Central Universities, which offer master's degrees in horticulture, forestry, seed science, rural technology, agronomy, plant breeding, and genetics.

CUET PG Agriculture Exam Pattern

The no. of questions will be 100 and divided into two parts.

Part A: Consisting of Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability, General Awareness, Mathematical/Quantitative ability, and Analytical Skills comprising 25 MCQs.

Part B: Domain Knowledge comprising 75 MCQs

CUET Agriculture Preparation Tips

  1. Read the Syllabus completely and make sure you understand the topics.
  2. Analyze the CUET previous year's question paper to determine which topics from the syllabus were most often asked in the exam.
  3. Following these two steps, you must find the relevant books and notes where you may easily read all of these topics.
  4. Revision is essential for passing the exam, therefore don't skip it - keep revising several times.
